Getting There was the fourth production of the Rocky Hill Musical Theatre Company and the company’s first original locally-written full musical.

Based on songs written by Pat and Geoff Drummond, Chris Gordon wrote a narrative tale to connect the songs and added in a song of his own.

The story follows a conventional boy-meets-girl paradigm but throws in a city versus country dynamic and canvases many relevant themes for contemporary Australia, including combating bullying, rural dislocation from the land, job insecurity and standing up for yourself and others.

The production ran for eight shows: August 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17 and 18, 2018 and was performed at the Goulburn High School Hall.
